TRANSFORM YOUR CHURCH and MINISTRY with our new dynamic Integrated Learning System

Welcome Pastors, Christian Education Directors, Church Leaders!

Have you been searching for a Bible based curriculum that is simple, clear, life giving, and transforming? Have you been seeking a way to instill in your people a deep hunger and desire to know the things of God?  Have you wondered how to bridge the gap between what has been promised by God and what we actually experience?  .  .  Look no further.

Pastor Joshua A. McClure’s Bible Based Church School Studies and Foundations of Faith Bible Study are for you.  These studies are designed for a two year continuous period of learning the Bible, accompanied with a teaching guide and workbook.  The center and core of this dynamic learning system is the book: “Almost Persuaded, Now to believe.”  Published in 2008, and written in plain, simple language for spiritual understanding, the book explains clearly and unreservedly 13 basic tenets of the Christian faith.  Following are excerpts from Christian Leaders:

"If you are looking for a book which gives you an understanding of spiritual issues and their personal and eternal impact, then you must get a copy of Joshua McClure's outstanding work. He has captured the subject as clearly, powerfully, and simply as possible.  --Dr. Richard Tate, Founder, Tate Publishing & Enterprises,  Mustang, OK

The exploration of the tenets of Christian faith, as presented in the text, Almost Persuaded, is clear, concise and cogent as one chapter builds upon another.  The reader is invited to persuasively move from theory to life application.  The fluidity of the content is enlightening as well as inspirational.  -- Rev, Carl H. Balark, Jr., Ebenezer Baptist Church , Providence , RI

I was impressed by the depth of the theological content covered in the book, Almost Persuaded Now to Believe.  --Rev. Dr. Vincent L. Thompson,  Community Baptist Church ,  Newport , RI

This Preacher has taken words and concepts that we often use, assuming, mistakenly, that the listener understands, and has wrapped them around the everyday events of his journey.  Scripture passages come alive as he relates his story to concepts like the trinity, creation, the fall, Incarnation, New Creation, deeper life and others.  --Miles T. Crawford, Jr., Senior Minister,  Zion Community Church , Springfield , MA .

McClure’s insights into spiritual formation are Biblically grounded and profoundly practical. -- The Rev. Dr. Donald C. Anderson,  Executive Minister,  Rhode Island State Council of Churches

Reflection

I love that word reflection.

It is a word that has helped me a great deal in this revolutionary Bible Study format that we at Pleasant Street Baptist Church now excitedly undertake.  Understanding that my connection to God did not begin with the words “In the beginning God created.”  No it goes way back in eternity past according to Paul in Ephesians 1:4. God chose me because he loved me before the creation of the world. Wow. In Christ, to be faultless and holy in his sight.

This is the gospel and the result of the gospel in my everyday life.  I understand with power in my life that if God is for me who can be against me.  The simplicity of Scripture begins to now shape my life as Paul speaks that Christ may be formed in me.

When I think that God now says that he will never leave me nor forsake me, I could now say as James says, that whenever trouble comes my way, count it pure joy, for I know these now are the very things my Father is using so that Christ is formed in me.  -- C H, Deacon

Bible Study ‘The Core of Understanding in a Sphere of Faith

Can we understand rather than just learn ideas and facts?  Our pastor’s approach to our recent Bible studies is centered on instilling a deep and profound understanding, a core of understanding so intense, that it allows for all of God’s message and dealings with mankind to flow through it.

I’m reminded of my experience as a young executive fresh out of college at a firm where one of the products manufactured was golf balls.  The small dense core of the ball is wrapped ever so tightly by quite a large volume of rubber thread which enhances the ball and allows it to take on its proper characteristics.  All of this is held together by a covering with a specially engineered design that must be flawless in order for the ball to perform at it’s maximum.

Like this, once we achieve the core of understanding of God’s Holy Plan, the Scriptures and His relationship with us open up because they are now tied together and wrapped around this basic understanding in a new and marvelous way, all connected, giving the core understanding more volume and heft and a dynamic to perform.  The covering of the golf ball provides direction and performance enhancing characteristics.  God’s gift of the Holy Spirit could be likened to this, perfecting the relationship with God and complementing the ‘Sphere of Faith.’

The foundation of our faith when built upon a solid core of understanding is a basic and uplifting way to see our place in God’s Kingdom.  Thus a core of understanding allows that we increase in spiritual stature in a way that is meaningful.  God’s creation is so marvelous and awesome from the atom to the universe and now His Scriptures revealed in a way that fits into all of it.  Starting from a core of understanding makes all the difference.  -- J S, Deacon

Scriptures become “alive”

I’ve waited for 35 years to have the Scriptures become “alive” to me.  Imagine finding out that “in the beginning” was not the beginning of the creation story.  All the scriptures, topics, and characters in the new Sunday school curriculum tie in together to make the Bible stories have new meaning and inspiration.  Both children and adults can go deeper into the Scriptures and finally get the understanding and revelation of what the relationship of God and man is all about and what really matters.  Praise God!    -- L A,  Bd of Christian Ed. Intermediate: Grades 4, 5, 6
